The Resurgam Trust AGM
Friday 27th February 2026
Another fantastic Annual General Meeting for Resurgam Trust, highlighting the key projects and innovation taking place in Lisburn City.
We’d especially like to thank all those who contributed including our DFM Emma Little-Pengelly MLA who gave a very frank insight into the partnership between Government and the Third Sector and how those elected members strive to improve this for the better of community. Kerry Mulholland, Help Kids Talk gave an overview of their work with children’s Speech and Language and commented on the partners and how they work effectively together.
Thanks to Rev Pete Meenagh for the election of the board and his overview of developments with the new Hillhall Renewal Centre; while Brian Stewart from RBCA gave an overview of the annual financial position.
Our Trust Director gave a very positive snapshot of where we are as a Charitable Trust and the social enterprise developments that have taken place in Hilden Mill School as well as the opportunities that are ahead.
The chair then invited the Mayor of Lisburn Castlereagh Alderman Amanda Grehan Councillor for Lisburn South to close the AGM and who reassured the Trust that all political representatives were committed to working together for the better of community.
It was heartening to have elected representatives from all political parties and independent’s in the room, this gives us great heart going forward.
Thanks to everyone who came along and the volunteers helping on the day.
